Altar Servers
Altar Servers assist the priest and other ministers in the celebration of the Eucharist, both on Sunday and Holy day Masses, as well as Funerals, Weddings and important feasts of the Church. They lead the procession into the church with the cross; they help the priest as book-bearer for the prayers, and they assist at the altar as needed. Altar serving is open to boys and girls in the 3rd – 12th grades. Training sessions are held once or twice a year. Information on Altar Serving will be available in early September and those interested in serving will receive information through the classroom in both the Parish School of Religion and Saint Luke School, or they can contact Fr. Carroll directly at frcarroll@saintlukemclean.org. Scheduling for serving is done with Ministry Scheduler Pro.
